Son lives in South Africa and cannot get any Covid shot there. He is coming home to visit next week for a week. Should he get mRNA because there’s no Novavax right now? His last shot was one Novavax two years ago. I do not know how much Covid is in Cape Town this winter or the strains. If you say yes, any preference Pfizer or Moderna? I know, I’d much rather he get Novavax.
Is Nuvaxovid unavailable now in pharmacies nationwide like it was for a period last summer? Two CVS pharmacies have told me they threw away their expired Nuvaxovid stock and have not been able to order new stock. Is this a local problem or nationwide?
It’s hard to get vaccinated every 6 months if the company holds off on producing it in summer. Are they waiting to create an updated version.
Re Nuvaxovid timing: "Argument for a new three-shot series." Is there new data on this? We have had shot 1 and shot 2 two months later. We have 2 weeks before we're due for our 6 month shot, should we wait?

You can't get it until it's available in the fall because it's an update year.
